Industrial Hygiene - Mold Remediation
Manages mold remediation of commercial and residential properties. He ensures employees are safety trained and medically evaluated to perform respirator work. Projects cover mold removal, decontamination, and recommendations to property owners to eliminate moisture intrusion.
Industrial Hygiene - Moisture Surveys
Moisture detection equipment including a protimeter and a Q-TRAC Air Quality Monitor are used to measure surface, sub-surface, and moisture in air values. Inspections of building conditions are made and reports developed to assist property owners with recommendations on elimination of moisture intrusion.
Industrial Hygiene - Mold Investigations
Bulk, tape, and swab samples are collected to assist property owners with species of mold. Evaluations are made of locations and surfaces impacted by mold. Preliminary estimates are made of the quantity of work required to remove mold damaged substrates and surfaces.
Assessments - Phase I Environmental Assessments
2003 – Present
Completed over 50 phase I Environmental Site Assessments in NE, IA & IL for the General Services Administration, Lund Company, Commercial Federal Bank, and First National Bank of Omaha. The properties included gasoline stations, apartment complexes, industrial buildings, residential units, and numerous other commercial and residential properties. The work was in compliance with ASTM 1527 standards.
Risk Management - Transaction Screen
2003 – Present
Completed various Transaction Screens for Commercial Federal Bank and First National Bank of Omaha in compliance with ASTM 1528. The properties included retail, warehouse type facilities, and unimproved parcels. Typically this is required when the cost of the property is less than several hundred thousand when innocent land-owner defense protection is required.
Risk Management – CERCLA
Managed 5 individuals in the Omaha Lead Superfund Site. Tasks included overseeing soil sampling of 3000 residences, soil preparation following EPA Method 6200, created maps of residences, collected access agreements with signatures, radiation survey of XRF usage, and developing a strategy for a treatability of lead soil. New tasks added in 2005/2006 include exterior paint inspections of over 1,500 homes.
Remediation – Risk Management – CERCLA
Assisted in oversight of 4 individuals in the Omaha Lead Superfund Site. Tasks included screening of soil using XRFs, developing QA/QC protocol, training team’s use of EPA Method 6200, developing an analytical soil testing trailer use on site, managing remediation crews, and developing report formats for XRF reports.
